For better or for worse, this bread is dense. It needs toppings and condiments to go with it, but otherwise the flavor is nice. And it held together better than many GF breads we've tried.

My sister brought me this bread. I'm not sure where she got it but I think she bought it fresh instead of frozen. I don't know if it was because this bread wasn't frozen or if the brown rice had something to do with it, but it was a lot less crumbly than the white rice version. This made the bread a lot easier to use. The texture of this bread is quite a bit more dense than regular bread, but I thought the flavor was quite satisfying.

What a find. We stumbled upon this place about a year ago when it had only been open for a week. At the time, Z was not yet GF and so the full handwritten whiteboard menu was open to her. Last month, we were passing through Buena Vista again and needing lunch, we stopped at Global Cafe. It has grown into a full service oasis with a much larger menu including an extensive wine list and they tell you where they get the ingredients for the food (most are local to Colorado). They have also added a full GF menu section, with GF panini for sandwiches. Z was ecstatic. We were very pleased to see it grown and doing well. Most certainly worth stopping here anytime you are in Buena Vista.

We usually review restaurants in the Boulder/Denver area, so Global Cafe is a little bit outside our usual range. We happened to stop at Global Cafe on our drive back from Great Sand Dunes National Park, where we had spent the weekend camping. I figured I would be at least able to get a nice salad for lunch. But I was super surprised to discover that Global Cafe works hard to cater to its gluten-free guests!! They had gluten-free bread for sandwiches, gluten-free cookies, and they even offer gluten-free pasta on their dinner menu! I can't tell you how excited I was to order a panini for lunch. And it was seriously delicious, as was the peanut butter cookie I enjoyed for dessert. Global Cafe also has a really nice atmosphere. It is located in an old gas station, which gives it a sort of recycled charm. It also has an adorable thrift store next door. And well-behaved pets are welcome on their patio, so we had a lovely lunch on the patio (complete with a glass of wine) with our puppy getting to take a break from being in the car too. If you are ever in Buena Vista I highly recommend Global Cafe.

Good for many of the same reasons that the tomato-basil version of this product is good. Not quite as flavorful, as expected since this is the plain variant.

If baked properly, these breadsticks are crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They taste great by themselves or dipped in marinara sauce or ranch dressing. The flavor isn't as exciting as Chebe's Tomato-Basil Bread Sticks, but they still make a nice appetizer or side of bread.

Light and spongy, as much like a traditional hamburger bun as anything I have had so far. My one complaint is when I was toasting them, the top layer of the bun had a tendency to flake off into the toaster, giving everyone else the impression that something was on fire...which was not untrue. Luckily the burned part could be easily pulled away.

We tried these hamburger buns with sloppy joes and I thought they were just great! They weren't crumbly at all and they held together well enough for me to eat and enjoy a very messy sandwich. We used these buns right out of the freezer by microwaving them and then toasting them. I thought they were really enjoyable and I am excited to have discovered a good gluten-free option for hamburger buns!

I was impressed with the Trader Joe's pancake mix, but this was way better than that. Fluffy and perfectly pancake-like. Good flavor and good density.

I loved these pancakes. They were soft and fluffy and tasted amazing. I ate them hot with butter and syrup and then I ate some of the leftovers cold later on for a snack. By far the best gluten-free pancakes I have had so far. Since I enjoyed the flavor and texture so much, I am excited to try out some of the other suggestions from Pamela's Products for using this mix. They have all kinds of recipes on their website for other things you can do with this baking mix. I'll be sure to update readers with whatever I try next!

This bread tastes good but it is very crumbly and difficult to get out of the packaging intact. Provided you get a whole piece, it is a hefty, dense bread with good flavor. Nice when toasted

I think this bread is a little bit too crumbly. In the process of trying to get full slices for toast, we ended up with quite a few crumbled slices, which isn't great since gluten-free bread is a bit costly. However, once a slice of this bread is separated from the loaf and toasted, it makes for a very pleasing gluten-free bread. The texture was a little bit more dense than regular bread, but the flavor was satisfying. I especially enjoyed the toast with cream cheese.

Crunchy on the outside, chewy in the middle. They reminded me of the crunchy, cracker-like breadsticks you get in swanky restaurants sometimes. They are easy to make too. Straight from the freezer into a preheated oven, and 30 minutes later you have a great snack that gets even better when dipped in ranch dressing. I think balsamic vinegar and olive oil would probably work well too.

These breadsticks smell absolutely amazing while they are being baked. If you are gluten-free and you've been craving bread, just the smell of these might do it for you! As long as you don't over-bake them, they come out of the oven crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Great by themselves or dipped in marinara sauce or ranch dressing. A fine appetizer! Just make sure you share, or you won't have room for dinner!

This is different from bread that is made with wheat, but it is still quite good. It was tender enough to be used in french toast, which is more than we have been able to say for gluten-free bread thus far. It also toasted nicely and was not overly prone to crumbling.

Gluten is the elastic protein that holds regular baked goods together, so gluten-free bread is, by definition, not the same texture as "regular" bread. Most gluten-free breads are much denser than "regular" breads, though I must admit that I am nowhere near an expert on gluten-free bread (yet!). But I have to say that this bread came pretty close to the texture of regular bread. I've used it to make grilled cheese sandwiches and french toast (oh the joy of being able to eat those things!) and I really enjoyed both. I've also used this bread for regular toast and it's delicious with nothing more than butter. However, I do have to say that there is something a little bit unusual about the taste and texture of this bread. I don't think I've ever had tapioca before, so maybe that is what I am tasting? Nevertheless, this is the best bread substitute I have found so far.
