Here's all I have to say about this: meh. Not bad, but not particularly good either. Pretty bland, even for macaroni and cheese. Kids would probably like it, though.

This is very much like the non-GF version: very drab. It needs...spice...flavor...something. The texture of the noodles is fine; it just doesn't taste like much. I've thrown in hot dogs and Mongolian fire oil (separately, but they might work together) and that made the dish much more flavorful.

I haven't had boxed mac & cheese for so long...does it taste like Kraft or is it worse?? I used to love it when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteMight be better than kraft, as at least this stuff is organic and less toxic orange. As far as gluten-free mac & cheese goes I still think that Amy's frozen is best: http://glutenfree-a-z.blogspot.com/2009/01/amys-rice-mac-cheese.html
