I found 4580 while looking for an anniversary-worthy place very early in Z's GF journey. It certainly did not disappoint then, and continues to impress me currently. One of the most popular items, that also happens to be naturally GF, is caprese salad: house-made fresh mozzarella cheese on top of cherry tomatoes, some kind of cheese crisp, and balsamic vinegar. Incredible. They also offer GF table bread, GF hamburger buns, and they recently added a statement to their menus saying that essentially every main dish can be made GF except for the pasta. Fantastic. It goes without saying that the food is very good and chances are that Martin, one of the owners, will come out and regale you with a great story about the particular bottle of wine you have picked for your meal.

This may sound a bit silly, but I get excited just walking in the door at 4580. When you come in, the hostess always offers to take your coat, which just makes me feel special and at home. The staff is always really friendly and more than once the owner has come by our table to pour our wine and chat with us. A and I first went to 4580 for our six year anniversary. That time I had a delicious flank steak. We also took a friend there for her birthday and I enjoyed a juicy chicken dish and an amazing gluten-free dessert. Last week we took my mother there and, for the first time since becoming gluten-free, I had a hamburger with a bun at a restaurant. It was amazing! The menu at 4580 changes with the season, so there is always something new to try. And, with the exception of the pasta dishes, 4580 is willing to prepare anything on the menu gluten-free! And for local and interesting gourmet food the prices are actually pretty reasonable. What more can you ask for? 4580 has become a favorite for us!
